 The Reserve Bank of India on Sunday said that, it will shortly issue Rs 20 and Rs 50 denomination banknotes in the Mahatma Gandhi Series-2005,with inset letter 'L' in both the number panels,bearing signature of  Urjit Patel.


 RBI-The Reserve Bank of India will also shortly issue Rs 50 & 20 denomination bank notes in the Mahatma Gandhi Series (2005)

 The year of printing (2016) printed on the reverse of the bank note, RBI said in  release,
also all the bank notes in the denomination of Rs 20 & 50 issued in the past will continue to be legal tender...

 the government had last month demonetized currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 in Bid to Flush out Black money..
